APPLY FOR JIGAWA STATE SCHOLARSHIP FOR 2024
The Jigawa state government has commenced in earnest the scholarship applications for indigenes of Jigawa state. The scholarship seeks to provide them with financial aids, grants to further their studies in any Nigerian public university.
The Jigawa state governemtn through the Jigawa state scholarship board hopes to bring indigenes of Jigawa staste with proven academic record and provide with financial assistance to further their studies. This is coming after the country is hit with inflation and consequent rise in cost of living.
The purpose to provide accessibility to education to Jigawa people irrespective of socio-economic and political background. The scholarship is renewable every year up to four years. The scholarship is therefore offered for undergraduate programme in any discipline.
Requirements
To become eligible to apply, the following requirements should be met in earnest:
- You must be an indigene of Jigawa state.
- You must have at least five distinctions (As and Bs) in your WAEC/NECO including mathematics and English,
- CGPA: Possess a minimum CGPA of 3.00 on a five-point scale
- You must be an undergraduate studying a bachelor’s degree course at any Nigerian public universities.
Prospecive candidates should submit the following during their registrastion:
- Certificate of Origin/ Local Government Identification Letter
- First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC)
- Senior School Certificate Examination Certificate (SSCE)
- JAMB admission Letter
- School Admission Letter
- Birth Certificate/ Age Declaration
- Statement of result showing your current CGPA
- Recent passport photograph
- Student identification letter
- Student ID Card
- Student Valid ID card ( National ID card, voter’s card, driver’s license, or international passport)
- Functional email address
- Active phone number
The scholarship seeks to cover tuition accommodation and monthly stipends.
